Corporate Recovery Services

It is an unfortunate fact that not all businesses succeed as planned and can require the services of Corporate Recovery Specialists.

Staples Rodway has a team of such specialists with experience and proven track records in liquidations, receiverships, offers of compromise, re-structuring, investigative accounting and securitisation of assets.

Our Corporate Recovery team will work towards maximum recovery results through professionally managed engagements following best practices.

We are also able to provide practical advice to businesses who are experiencing difficulties and to assist them in ensuring their future survival.

Liquidations

Voluntary (Solvent) Liquidations:

Where a company has outlived its usefulness, or a restructuring exercise is being contemplated, we are able to effect an orderly wind-up.

Voluntary (Insolvent) Liquidations:

Acting on the instructions of shareholders who consider the company to be insolvent, we attend to the necessary statutory procedures of liquidation.

Court Appointments:

We are able to accept appointment as liquidators where directed by the Court, and also as interim liquidators. We have a proven track record in deriving positive results for creditors.

Receiverships

We accept appointments as receivers under deeds of security for purposes of realising assets and obtaining the best possible outcome for the secured creditor, while also considering the interests of other stakeholders.

Compromises and Workouts

Sometimes liquidation or receivership is not the most appropriate alternative and we have expertise in negotiating managed workouts and creditor compromises. We are also able to act as administrators of schemes of arrangement and part xv bankruptcy proposals.

Corporate Restructuring

We have specialist skills in Business hive-down possibilities and other structuring alternatives.

Investigative Accounting

We undertake confidential investigative assignments on behalf of financial institutions and other creditors, reporting on the financial affairs of business and advising on risk profiles.

Asset Securitisation

We can advise on the forms and strength of security, how to take security and how to recover secured debts, particularly in the context of the Personal Property Securities Act. We have considerable expertise available in the context of this complex legislation.
